Description
L Air Sculpture Description:
>>The original l air sculpture appears in a monument commissioned by the city of Toulouse, France, commemorating the missing crew of the Croix du Sud seaplane. The bronze sculpture was completed posthumously based on the artist Aristide Maillol’s 1983 plaster model.
>>The woman in the sculpture rests on her right hip on the base, one arm resting on the base, while the other arm and both legs hang suspended in the air, forming three parallel lines with a curved, undulating texture, as if floating in the air. The woman’s body is remarkably graceful, and her figure is exceptionally graceful.
